This Privacy Policy describes how Witty Inventions Digital, LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use chainNode, our network asset discovery, monitoring, and blockchain verification platform. By using chainNode you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you subscribe to chainNode we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Network asset metadata. The chainNode agent collects technical metadata from your network including IP addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, open ports, operating system identifiers, firmware versions, service banners, and configuration states. This data is required to provide the core discovery and monitoring service.

Sensor readings. For IoT assets, the agent may collect environmental readings such as temperature, humidity, voltage, and signal strength as configured by you.

Usage data. We collect standard web analytics including pages visited, features used, browser type, and access times within the chainNode dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the chainNode platform.
• To discover, classify, and monitor assets on your authorized networks.
• To detect anomalies and generate security alerts.
• To generate compliance reports (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, FDA).
• To write tamper-proof verification records to the Polygon blockchain.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send transactional emails (welcome, alerts, billing, support).
• To respond to support requests.

3. Blockchain Records

chainNode writes cryptographic hashes of asset configurations and compliance reports to the Polygon blockchain. These records contain only SHA-256 hashes, timestamps, and brief descriptions. They do not contain raw network data, IP addresses, hostnames, or any personally identifiable information. Blockchain records are immutable and cannot be deleted by any party.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your network data or personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers. We use Supabase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI classification), and Polygon (blockchain). Each provider receives only the minimum data necessary for their function.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Ownership and Retention

You retain full ownership of all data collected from your network. Upon subscription cancellation, your dashboard access is revoked. Data stored in our database is retained for 90 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation, after which it is permanently deleted. Blockchain records remain permanently as they are immutable by design.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
• API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes; plaintext keys are never retained.
• Agent authentication uses fingerprint binding and optional IP allowlisting.
• Anti-backdoor security policies are enforced on every API request.
• Rate limiting protects against abuse on all endpoints.
• Audit logs record all state-changing operations.

7. AI Processing

chainNode uses AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) to classify discovered assets, detect anomalies, and answer natural language queries about your fleet. Asset metadata is sent to Anthropic’s API for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train models. AI classifications are stored alongside your asset records and can be overridden manually.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The chainNode dashboard uses essential cookies for session management (authentication tokens). We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your asset data in standard formats (CSV).
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing.

10. Children’s Privacy

chainNode is a business-to-business platform and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the chainNode dashboard. Continued use of chainNode after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
